Erica Ramirez is currently Senior Director of Research and Strategic Initiatives at Louisville Institute. She was previously the Director of Research at Auburn Theological Seminary and, prior to this, was the Richard B. Parker Assistant Professor of Wesleyan Thought at Portland Seminary in Oregon. In 2024-25, Erica was Fellow of, both, the Center for Christianity in Public Life and Interfaith America. A sociologist of religion, Erica has offered commentary about evangelical politics in The Washington Post, Religion News Service, PRRI and the New York Times. A fifth generation Texan, Erica lives in San Antonio with her husband Chris and their children: Judah, Julia, and Camilla.
