O. Ernesto Valiente

Ernesto Valiente is an Assistant Professor of Systematic Theology at the Boston College School of Theology and Ministry. He was born in Santa Ana, El Salvador. Prior to receiving a Ph.D. from the University of Notre Dame, he earned a BA in Economics from Tulane University, and a Th.M. and an M.Div. from Weston Jesuit School of Theology. He lives with his wife, Kari, and his Daugherty, Hannah, in Watertown, Ma. Ernesto’s teaching and research interests include Christology, soteriology, theologies of reconciliation, political theology, and Latin American theology, with a particular interest in liberation theology.
