Biography:
Daniel Montañez was born in Visalia, CA to a Mexican mother and Puerto Rican father. He holds a PhD in Theology, Ethics, and Philosophy from the Boston University School of Theology, and presently serves as the Postdoctoral Associate Program Director for the Congregational Life of Christian Immigrant Families Programs at Boston University. Daniel is also the founder of Mygration Christian Conference, the executive director of the Center for Public Theology and Migration, and the national director of the Migration Crisis Initiative for the Church of God (Cleveland, TN). He is the author and co-editor of the book, The Church and Migration: A Theological Vision for the People of God and is dedicated to serving his community at the intersection of the Church, the academy, and public life.
