Please join us in congratulating HTI’s Executive Director, Rev. Joanne Rodríguez, as she receives the Justo & Catherine González award from AETH. Rev. Joanne Rodríguez has been an ordained minister in the Presbyterian Church USA since 2011. Since 1999, she has worked collaboratively with students, faculty, deans, directors of non-profit educational programs, and presidents to ensure that HTI doctoral students complete their doctoral studies and become leaders that make an impact in theological and religious education as well as in the larger landscape of education. During those years, Rev. Rodríguez has established internship programs, master’s programs for the pastorate, and training and professional support for doctoral candidates. The program has been nationally recognized by Excelencia in Education at the graduate level for being a model institution for supporting doctoral students. Also, during her tenure, she has secured numerous grants from foundations to support and develop the HTI.
