Biography:
Adriana ‘Dri’ Rivera, a lifelong learner of Puerto Rican descent, is a former seventh-grade English teacher from Northwest Indiana. Rivera is pursuing a PhD in Christian Education and Congregational Studies with concentrations in critical digital pedagogies, digital theo-ethics, and digital theological anthropology. Rivera believes that the shift to online learning initiated by the pandemic offers opportunities for theological education to participate in social change and empowerment for marginalized groups. Currently residing in the Edgewater neighborhood on the Northside of Chicago, Rivera demonstrates these commitments in preaching, teaching, community engagement, research, and writing.
