
Book Prize Eligibility

This award recognizes distinguished contributions in religion and theology that critically engage Latine scholarship and communities, advancing understanding and promoting communal well-being. Each year, HTI selects one book by a pre-tenure scholar to receive this recognition, accompanied by an honorarium. The award further includes the opportunity to deliver in person a book lecture at HTI’s annual Professional Development Conference, a recognized venue for scholarly exchange held each June at Princeton Theological Seminary.
Eligibility (at a glance)
- Pre-tenure (or equivalent non-tenured status) at time of nomination.
- Open to Scholars whose book substantially engages Latine scholarship and/or communities.
- Field: primary field is theology and/or religion, with the possibility of engaging interdisciplinary perspectives.
- Language: English (including eligible English translations).
- Authorship: single author.
- Publication & Nomination Window
The book must be published between July 2024, and September 10, 2025. The final date for submitting nominations is September 10, 2025.
