Dr. Lallene J. Rector is President Emerita and Professor of Psychology of Religion and Pastoral Psychotherapy at Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary. She has served G-ETS for 35+ years as faculty, VP of Academic Affairs, and as the Chief Executive Officer. Lallene is a United Methodist layperson who served several terms on the UM Board of Higher Education and Ministry and currently serves on the UM Board of Global Ministries. Rector received the MTS and PhD degrees from Boston University. She also received clinical training at the Center for Religion and Psychotherapy of Chicago and psychoanalytic training at the Institute for Psychoanalysis in Chicago. She loves murder mysteries, especially Scandinavian. They are cold, dark, and great studies in human nature!
